About

I'm Sam Kim — ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA), midcouncil leader, and someone who has spent decades at the intersection of faith, community, and institutional change.

My work spans parish ministry, seminary education, church planting, and leadership transition consulting. Whether in a congregation, a classis, or a coaching conversation, I am drawn to the moments where communities discern who they are and where they are going.

I believe the Church is most alive when it is most itself — open, rooted, and courageous enough to welcome the stranger, empower the marginalized, and reimagine what faithful community can look like in our time.

This space is where I think out loud. You'll find reflections on theology, leadership, the Presbyterian tradition, church renewal, and the slow, necessary work of building communities where everyone is welcomed, respected, and invited to participate.
